Changes amongst SE
As most of you know, I do not post on my blog too often. You can always stay in touch with SE on our Facebook page. For those of you that do not do the Facebook thing I will fill you in.
SE has added packages for weekend get aways or parties with your friends. I think there are some packages that will get your attention. Prices are seasonal so they will not be posted, you will have to get ahold of us for the current rates.
SE is also stepping it up a notch and renting out their showroom for any private party. Again, get a hold of us for the details. Amber has really done a great job with showers and birthday parties. Those pictures will be up as soon as she gets them to me.
We have had a busy April and May! SE has 3 weeks available in June, 2 in July, 3 in August and as of right now September - December is wide open. We are accepting brides for 2011. We do have one booked for June of 2011 right now but are talking with a few other 2011 brides right now. Do not wait to contact us, we are booking quickly. We have also started a rental division of SE as well, so if you do not want our services but like some of the items in the pictures give us a call and we will be more than happy to assist you with any of your decor as well! SE is also very proud to announce the biggest addition to the SE family, Alexander Scott. My son was born May 8, 2010 and he comes with me to decorate all of the events so there is a good chance that if you book SE you will get to meet him!

January 12ths ABC Heartland's Confrence Call with Shae Freeman
January 12ths ABC Heartland's Confrence Call with Shae Freeman was fantastic! This Master Bridal Consultant that is located in Arkansas is the deffinetion of class! She shared her 5 most important business tips and I am so happy to say that SE was already doing 4 out of the 5 so there is no doubt about it, SE is on the right path! I love her tips on following through, thank you notes and dressing for success! Thank you Shae and thank you Laura! Cant wait for the next one with David!

ABC Heartland Phone Confrence 12-8-09

The Association of Bridal Consultgants is the association that raises the bar ands sets me out from the other consultants out there. I owe my education ans well as success to ABC!
ABC Heartland covers the midwest, on December 8, 2009  ABC Heartland held their first phone confrence and it went very well. Laura, our state coordinator said that there were 10 members on for the first call. Our guest speaker was Angela Brant form Nebraska. Her subject matter of her top 12 facts that she oints out during an interview with a potential couple were terriffic! Her question and answer afterwards made me realise that no matter what title we all carry we all experience the same experiences and have to be able to handle anything that is thrown our way! I particulaly appreciate her advice on never ever speak ill will about another vendor no matter how nasty that vendor is! Thank you Laura and Angela for a great first meeting! The next confrence call will be in January and I will be the guest speaker on that call addressing the novices as well as all other levels on how to get ahead in ABC as well as your business.

LOTOWA Bridal Stroll

There are a few things that I have been wanting to add to my blog site, one of them is to break down the 3 Associations that I am a proud member of and the other is to really let everyone know a little more about LOTOWA and its members.

Since this is tittled LOTOWA this is the association that I will begin with. This is the newest one as well as the smallest however it is growing quickly! LOTOWA was formed in April of 2009, the original members elected Mike Bliele (owner of 7 Springs Winery) as the president, Captain Mike (Celebration Cruises) as the VP, Janine Bullock (owner of Janine's Flowers) as the treasurer, and myself, Stephanie Snofke, (owner of Simply Elegant....) as the secretary.  This association was formed with a few ideas in mind. It all began with a very small meeting of some of the vendors at the lake that I have worked with. I sat them down to see if they shared the same frustrations as I did with the way our community was marketing our industry. I also shared with them the idea of the Stroll at this time. I was surprised to see how many people felt the same way I did as well as how intrigued they were with the concept of the Stroll. The meeting ended and before we all left I said start spreading the word to people that I might have not remembered or thought of at this time.  I think it was the second meeting that we began the process of forming the association. Each meeting we told more people and each meeting the group grew as well as the concepts for the stroll.  The association was officially formed in April and the first thing we did was get the web site up (http://www.LOTOWA.com) thanks to Sandy and Mike at MSW!

Stephanie Stroebel with the CMBA Bride Magazine was the next  form of advertising we decided to go with.  Through the site, magazine and word of mouth we have been able to grow and become a tight community of vendors. Yes, there are board members and everything is decided on a vote by the members but the nice thing about this group is that we all feel equally important! We all have the same goals in mind. It is because of that way of thinking that the group was able to pull of the first annual stroll with such great success! Everyone involved really went above and beyond the call of duty to work on this! I have sat on this idea for 3  years because I just wanted to be  sure and I am so excited at how well everyone in the group stepped up to the plate to work to make it a reality!

There is not one single person that deserves special credit for this project, the entire group deserves the same amount of credit!  Without the "community" working together it would not have gone as well. You can use this Stroll and the success from it on both sides as a true example of the elite professionals that are members of LOTOWA! October 13, 2009

Well, once again, several thank yous to make sure that people see! Let's start with the 2009 season, although it was slower than normal due to the econ SE was able to hang in there and more importantly help make several days wonderful memroies for people. Thank you to all of the 2009 clients as well as vendors that helped to make the 2009 season a nice season!

SE has the rest of 2009 available for anyone that needs help. The only weekend that is not available is December 5, 2009 (we have a great party in Coulumbia, Missouri that we are helping with).  Any bride that books for 2009 needs to ask about the end of the season speacials.

The Bridal Stroll was a huge success! We had 13 paid guests on our tour this year and the feed back has been wonderful from the client side as well as vendor side! I am so glad that this idea that has haunted me for three years has become the sucess that it was! It was a lot of trial and error that would not have been able to be the success that it was without the cooperation from the vendors coming together as a community and working together! A million thank you's!!!

Finally, there is one person in particular that deserves a world of recognition as well as gratittude...that is Amber Torres! Amber has been with SE for the entire 2009 season as well as the end of 2008. She came to me as an intern and I am proud and excited to announce that she will become an employee of SE comne January 1, 2010! I have been truly blessed that she called me and wanted to learn from me. I do not know how I have lasted this long without her! If you see of speak to Amber, make sure to congratulate her on her success with SE as well as her future with this small but ever growing Wedding and Event Planning bussiness. There is a lot in store for SE so make sure to keep up with us to see what is up our sleeve next!

I would like to introduce to you the 2010 intern of SE and her name is Lindsay Dunn. Lindsay came to me towards the end of this summer wanting to learn from me as well. We welcome lindsay and lets wish her the same success that Asmber has had with me as well. Welcome Lindsay.
